Yes, the name is that literal. I'm really uncreative with names, but on the bright side it gets the point across. If you saw my videos on social media and have been paying attention, you might have seen me as a pair of white gloves behind the scenery. Here is a picture of me:

How I got into Touhou

Through the music, of course! I listened to "Marisa Stole the Precious Thing" and "Help me, ERINNNNNN!!" before I even knew what a Two How was. At some point I put two and two together, found out where they came from, and started playing Touhou 6. Then 7, and now I'm slowly working through all the mainline games. Currently stuck on 13. Don't know why since people say it's way easier than 12.

Why I started sewing

I wanted a Yuyuko Saigyouji fumo, and the only ones around were being scalped for a fortune. I also wanted a Kanako Yasaka one, and that just didn't exist. So I got mad and did the only reasonable thing: taught myself to sew and made my own.

From commissions to Small Plushies

I started posting my work as @sartouhou on Instagram and Twitter, people seemed to like it, and I got better with every plushie. I even wrote a lot of plushmaking guides and built a free tool that generates embroidery files! If you dabbled in custom fumo making, chances are you've seen my name in a guide or website before. For a few years I took commissions, until I realized I wanted to flip it around: instead of making what individual buyers asked for, design my own line and give some supply to characters nobody was making. That's what Small Plushies is.

The first two Small Plushies designs are live: Mini Kaguya and Mini Nareko. More characters are coming, including a few that have been waiting on my list for a very long time.
