Mini Kaguya - Kaguya Houraisan Plush

A desk-sized moon princess.

A 20 cm tall plush doll of Kaguya Houraisan from Touhou 8: Imperishable Night. Straight from the moon and onto your shelf, with zero intention of ever going back. Soft minky fabric, fully embroidered eyes, sized to sit on a monitor, rest next to a keyboard, or get hugged until further notice.

Who is Kaguya Houraisan?

Kaguya is the final boss of Touhou 8: Imperishable Night, a Lunarian princess exiled to Earth after drinking the Hourai Elixir, the forbidden potion of eternal life. She's lived for centuries at Eientei, hidden deep in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, alongside Eirin, Tewi and Reisen. Her whole character riffs on The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter: the five impossible requests she asked of her suitors are Touhou canon, but she's regarded as a NEET by the general community. Immortality, it turns out, is mostly for lazing around.

Doujin design

The style is inspired by the famous Japanese fumo plushies: round, sitting, big-headed, photogenic. The face design is original, though, drawn and prototyped by Sarto. It's doujin work, not official merchandise. The photos on this page are the actual plush.

FAQ

Is this official Touhou merchandise? No. It's an original fan-made (doujin) design by Sarto, the creator of Small Plushies. Fan made merchandise is allowed by Touhou Project's fan work guidelines.

Is it a fumo? No. The style is fumo-inspired, but it's my own design. If you want the official Gift plush, I'll happily point you at it.

How do I clean it? Spot clean with mild soap and lukewarm water, air dry. Don't machine wash the embroidered face.

When will mine ship? Next Tuesday or Friday, whichever comes first. You'll get tracking by email immediately.
